“Now, we think, is the time to ‘retreat’ into the real work of reclamation,
to re-member again our humanity through the intimacy of our relationships.
The time is very urgent – we must slow down.” - Bayo Akomolafe
Invitation
An Exploration, not a Solution
In a time marked by rapid change, uncertainty and fragmentation, we are faced with our world unraveling. Many of the ways we have been taught to perceive, relate, and act are no longer sufficient for the depth of the challenges we face. In response to this calling, we invite you into an exploration where we do not seek to solve, but to sense, to relate, to compost and to reweave in playful and joyful ways. An experiment in how we might live, learn, and listen together in a time of disorientation that asks us to be otherwise.
We offer an intentional space of shared attunement and unfoldment—where we are supported to become deeply present with and responsive to what is happening in the moment, allowing it to reveal, to come into being without forcing or predetermining the outcome. Not as concepts to be understood or as skills to be mastered, but as embodied practices that reshape how we relate to ourselves, to one another and the living world—ways of being, we can remember together and carry out into our private and professional lives.
Gathering as a Community of Practice
As an intimate group of 12 people, we will gather around this inquiry, co-creating a temporary sanctuary—a space, a pause that offers us refuge from dominant societal patterns and pressures allowing for deepened presence for collective learning, unlearning, and becoming. Together we abide in a dense and animated relational space where trust, care, and courageous inquiry unfold in emergent ways, allowing new possibilities of being, perceiving and relating to take root.
Our time together will be held by a light ecology of awareness, movement and relational practice sessions and daily moments of collective community care, like cooking and cleaning. Within this soft structure, an open and emergent schedule is dynamically co-created by the whole group in which all are invited to contribute to the collective unfolding process of becoming. Everyone is encouraged to explore their own potential for collaborative leadership and share their gifts, talents, perspectives and practices, through offerings, explorations and rituals.
Unfolding Emergent Futures
Together we engage in experiential learning that is lived and relational, not extracted and performed. A mutual learning that will happen through direct engagement, reciprocity and exchange; unfolding our intersubjective creativity as a group—as we deepen into a collective world-building body.
We will cook, speak, laugh, sing, move, communicate, create, dance, listen, lead, follow, explore, swim, dream, meditate, move, contemplate, shapeshift with and through each other.
Join us for this adventure!
Shared Lunch, Resonant Bodies Residency 2021, Kakheti Georgia
Who is this for?
We are calling for human beings who resonate with this call, who are willing to bring their whole selves to a collective inquiry—gifts, talents, challenges, questions, and contradictions. All are welcome.
Whether you are an educator, community weaver, facilitator, socially engaged artist, spaceholder, activist, changemaker, regenerative practitioner—or simply someone drawn to this way of relating to change and transition, this program is an opportunity for you to practice the art of attuning: To become deeply present with and responsive to what is happening in every moment and to spontaneously and effortlessly adjust in ways that nurture connection, aliveness and understanding—whether with yourself, others, or the environment.
If you are longing for a space to deepen into embodied practice, relational inquiry, and collective co-creation—to cultivate ways of being that nurture reciprocity, trust, and attunement, without needing to control or fix, this residency is for you.
You do not need to be an expert or have mastery of any particular skill—just a willingness to be in process, to meet yourself and others as you are, and to offer your presence.
This is for you if you feel called to:
- Cultivate capacities to be open, attentive, and responsive to what is.
- Understand and compost habits of self-improvement, extraction, domination and control.
- Explore the body as a site of learning, knowing, and transformation.
- Practice attunement in relationship—navigating complexity with care and courage.
- Step into a space of shared inquiry, mutual learning and reciprocal growth.
- Engage with art, movement, and play as modes of collective sense-making and sense-breaking.
- Build capacity for co-creating relationally sensitive, regenerative, and high trust environments.
- Contribute to an experimental space of becoming—where no one is a passive participant.
Where will it take place?
Resonant Bodies Residency
at “Das Blaue Pferd”
We will stay in a beautifully restored four-sided farmhouse (Vierseitenhof) in the rural region of the Ruppiner Seenland, one hour north of Berlin. Surrounded by forests, fields and lakes, at the edge of the Schorfheide biosphere reserve, this protected historical site offers both spaciousness and stillness.
The ensemble of buildings creates a sheltered courtyard atmosphere, reminiscent of a small village square. The 200 m² barn provides space for workshops, movement sessions, relaxing under the trees, exhibitions, screenings, or simply being together. Around the house grow fruit trees, flowers, vegetables, and herbs.
The house has been renovated with care and ecological sensitivity, using mainly wood and clay as building materials. Almost all furnishings are upcycled or handcrafted from repurposed materials, designed and created on-site by artists and designers

Relational Attunement Sessions
We will explore different modalities like Internal Family Systems, Non-Violent Communication, Conscious Release and Deep Listening, that support us to relate to ourselves and each other with compassion. The practices support us to communicate authentically, offer tools for collective decision-making and conflict resolution and to nurture a safe and brave environment. We will explore how to hold space for and co-regulate each other, cultivating the ability to stay present during difficult conversations rather than shutting down.

Co-Created Spaces
The afternoons and evenings will be open for community contributions, using Open Space Technology, in which everyone is invited to step into leadership, sharing offerings and explorations. It is a space where you can experiment with taking up new roles, for collective decision-making, playful inquiry, impromptus, imagination and creativity.

Pod Groups
To nourish peer support, reflection and integration throughout the residency, we will meet in small practice pods of three people for an hour every afternoon. The pods stay the same for the length of the residency as a place to build supportive relationships. They offer a daily moment to address challenges, make requests and support each other in a more intimate environment, accommodating whatever is present in the moment.

Community Care
We will dedicate daily rituals for community care, including cleaning and caring for the facility as well as preparing home cooked vegetarian meals for the group. Next to these voluntary obligations there will be plenty of opportuni ties to propose joyful spontaneous activities.

1:1 Support
We are aware that a dense relational space can bring up emotional triggers and challenges that can seem overwhelming. The hosting team is here to support you with what might come up and can hold space individually for personal processing and guidance when needed.

Nature Connection
The retreat is surrounded by beautiful nature. We want to emphasise time in nature as an opportunity to connect to something bigger than ourselves, to take time to touch the intrinsic value and beauty of the natural world, and to deepen our recognition that we are part of this sacred web of life—grounding our actions in service of life and opening up a deep sense of purpose.

Artistic Research & Play
We want to encourage exploration through artistic means and practices as a core catalyst for our process. Engaging in artistic inquiry and expression, we disclose novel conditions for encounter and poetic ways of understanding. We get the chance to playfully break with habitual ways of operating in logical, linear problem-solving ways, revitalising our imagination and creativity as disruptive and liberating world-building capacities. Artistic practice opens up a multi-medial, embodied learning field beyond the rational mind, in which metaphor, image and ritual can express what we do not yet have words for.

An Unfolding Relationship
It is five years since we embarked on our journey of stewarding Resonant Bodies into being, during which we have offered several residencies in Austria and Georgia. The collective weaving of our practice, of directly engaging in this embodied exploration has continually changed us, revealing depth and understanding; supporting our continuous refinement of the design and the approach of how we hold space—not leading us to final answers but drawing us deeper into what it means to be human in a time of turbulence and transition.
As hosts, we are not here to teach but to hold the edges of the space—making room for discovery, trust and emergence. We come from diverse backgrounds in the arts, design, movement, and contemplative practice, and we share a commitment to creating spaces where we can build community that celebrates difference, learn to compost and relate beyond the terminal paradigm of modernity and find purpose in taking meaningful action and response-ability. For us, Resonant Bodies is a living relationship, an open vessel for our souls and desires to take shape. It is not just a project, but a practice—one that continues to teach us as much as it holds others.

“I work at the intersection of spatial practice, political education, and community building. With a background in architecture and scenography, my focus has shifted toward creating spaces for collective learning, relational presence, and embodied transformation.
Movement continues to be a source of curiosity and learning for me, a way of sensing dynamics, softening roles, and listening with the whole body. Martial arts and dance have long been part of my life, a way to return to myself and connect beyond words.
My relational approach is grounded in care work, in listening, especially to those whose voices are often unheard. I pay attention to how power moves through groups, seeking to make it visible, shift it gently, and support those who may need extra holding to step into their voice.
This orientation is shaped by intersectional feminism and the histories of the commons, guided by the work of Silvia Federici, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Audre Lorde, and Clarissa Pinkola Estés.
At Resonant Bodies, I’m continually moved by how connection unfolds in its own rhythm and time, and how, through being present, we weave a web strong enough to hold complexity, the kind of energy that turns a gathering into a community.“

“What began with mediation classes grew into a passion for leading workshops that connect different fields and cultures. These workshops mainly explore topics like the self, masculinity, and caring for the environment. Through these themes, I’ve found space to enjoy and grow my interest in (collective) movement, my yoga practice, and artistic expression.
I work across different areas, but my main focus is the well-being of the people around me. I’m especially interested in how ecological thinking, environmental activism, and art come together, and how they help build stronger communities.
Besides taking on organisational roles, I explore how art can be made together with others. I dive deep into Artistic Research, where thinking deeply about ideas is always connected to how I create art.
As part of Resonant Bodies, I want to create honest and meaningful connections. I also want to explore the environmental conditions that allow us, as humans, to fully show up and connect with those around us.”

“I believe that we shape the world in the way we show up—and that in turn, this world shapes us back. My work is about creating spaces where people are empowered to step into this reciprocity with clarity, purpose and deep listening.
With a background in spatial and sonic practice, movement, and contemplative inquiry, I have spent the past years designing and facilitating spaces for connection, learning, and unlearning—across festivals, residencies, seminars and intimate workshops. My approach is deeply informed by the embodied traditions I study, which encompass meditation, movement and relational practice. Teachers I regard strongly influential to my current understanding are Rob Burbea, Michael Taft and A.H.Almaas with the Diamond Approach, which I am studying under Gisela Bast, as well as Bonnitta Roy whose student I was in her Pop-Up-School. I am currently training as an Aletheia Unfoldment Coach (ACP Level 2) with Steve March.
In Resonant Bodies, I bring a commitment to holding an open and allowing space where unfolding is possible—where people can meet themselves, each other, and the unknown with curiosity and care.“
